History of Babayevsky
How Babayevsky Started
The story of Babayevsky began a long time ago, in 1804. It started as a small family workshop run by the Abrikosov family. They were skilled candy makers.
Becoming a Big Company
In 1918, the factory became owned by the government. This is called being nationalized. Later, in 1922, the factory got its current name, Babayevsky. It was named after Peter Akimovich Babayev. He was an important local leader at the time.
Changes Over Time
In 1993, the company became a private business again. This is known as privatization. In 2002, a large part of the company was sold to another business called Amidis LLC.

Forming the Concern
In July 1992, the factory became a public company. This means its shares could be bought and sold by people. In 1998, Babayevsky joined with several other candy factories. Together, they formed the JSC Babayevsky Confectionery Concern.
Joining United Confectioners
In 2003, the Babayevsky Concern became part of the United Confectioners group. This group is a holding company, which means it owns many different companies. Other famous candy factories like Krasny Oktyabr and Rot Front are also part of this group.
Quality and Standards
Babayevsky is committed to making high-quality products. In 2008, the company received a special certificate. This certificate showed that they met the strict rules of the International Organization for Standardization 22,000 system. In 2012, they also received the GOST R ISO 9001-2008 certificate, showing their commitment to quality management.
