Bahaedin Adab facts for kids
Bahaedin Adab (born August 21, 1945 – died August 16, 2007) was an important Iranian Kurdish leader. He was known as a politician, an engineer, and someone who helped others (a philanthropist). Bahaedin Adab was born in Sanandaj, a city in Iran. He studied civil engineering at a well-known university called Amirkabir University of Technology. He passed away in Tehran in 2007 due to cancer. He was buried in a cemetery in Sanandaj, next to his parents.

A Voice in Parliament
Bahaedin Adab was chosen by the people to be a member of the Majlis of Iran, which is like Iran's parliament or main law-making body. He served for two terms, from 1996 to 2004. He represented the areas of Sanandaj, Kamyaran, and Diwandarreh.
Standing Up for His Beliefs
Before the elections for the 7th parliament, Bahaedin Adab was not allowed to run. This happened because he openly shared his opinions about the government system. Many other independent or reform-minded candidates were also stopped from running.
Starting a New Movement
After he was not allowed to run in the elections, Bahaedin Adab helped create a new political group. This group was called the Kurdish United Front, and it started in early 2006. Its goal was to bring together Kurdish voices and work for their rights.

Bahaedin Adab held many important positions throughout his life. He was involved in different areas, from construction to banking.

- He led several construction companies, like Abej Construction Company and Ravagh Construction Company.
- He was a leader in the Confederation of Iranian Industries.
- He was on the board of directors for the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
- He helped lead Karafarin Bank and was on the board of Karafarin Insurance.
- He was the head of the Association of Engineering and Building Controllers.
- He was also involved with his old university, Amirkabir University of Technology, as a trustee.
- He even served as a deputy chairman for the Iranian Basketball Federation, showing his interest in sports.
