History of Ballplay
The name "Ballplay" comes from a long time ago. Native Americans used to gather here to play a game called stickball. They played this game to settle disagreements between their tribes peacefully.
In 1840, a post office opened in Ballplay. This was an important place for people to send and receive mail. However, the post office closed down in 1905.
