History of Barbacoas
Barbacoas was officially founded in the year 1712. When it was first established, it was given the name San Andrés de Aricapano de Barbacoas.
During the 1700s, which is also known as the eighteenth century, the city was often referred to simply as "Partido de Aricapano". This shows how its name changed over time.
