Barbara Neustadt (1922–1998) was an American artist. She was known for making prints and special art books. She created beautiful lithograph prints.

Her Life and Work

Barbara Neustadt was born in 1922 in Davenport, Iowa. She went to Smith College to study. Later, she worked at a famous art studio called Atelier 17 in New York City. There, she worked with other talented printmakers. These included Robert Blackburn, Margaret Lowengrund, and Michael Ponce de Leon.

In 1967, Barbara started her own art place. It was called the Studio Graphics Workshop. This was in Woodstock, New York. Later, in 1980, she created the Pleiades Press. This was a special place for making artist's books. An artist's book is a work of art that uses the form of a book.

One of her famous artist's books was A Dream of Love. She made this in 1986 with a poet named Joseph Langland. Barbara Neustadt passed away in 1998 in Bradenton Beach, Florida.
