Bartosz Piasecki (IPA: [ˈbartɔʂ pjaˈsɛt͡skʲi]) is a famous Norwegian fencer. He was born on December 9, 1986. Bartosz is best known for winning a silver medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics. He competes in the épée discipline of fencing.

About Bartosz Piasecki
Bartosz Piasecki was born in Tczew, Poland. When he was two years old, his family moved to Norway. His father, Mariusz Piasecki, is also a fencing champion. Mariusz won 12 medals in Polish Championships. He also represented Poland in international épée competitions.
Bartosz followed in his father's footsteps in fencing. He also studied computer science at the University of Oslo. Today, Bartosz lives in Oslo and is a math teacher. He teaches at the elite sports program at Wang Secondary School.

Early Achievements
In 2009, Bartosz won a bronze medal. This was at the U23 European Fencing Championship in Debrecen. In June 2012, he finished 16th at the World Championship in Italy.

Bartosz Piasecki won a silver medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. This was in the men's individual épée event. This silver medal is Norway's best fencing achievement ever. Before this, the best was an 11th place in 1984. That was achieved by Nils Koppang.
European Games Medal
Bartosz also earned a bronze medal in 2015. This was at the 2015 European Games in Baku. He won it in the individual épée event.
