Bastien Kaltenbacher (born May 20, 1991), known as Bastian Baker, is a talented singer and songwriter from Switzerland. He writes and performs his own songs, mixing pop and country styles.

Bastian Baker's Story
From Hockey to Hit Songs
Bastian was born in Lausanne, Switzerland. His dad was a professional hockey player. Bastian also loved hockey and played for a junior team called "Lausanne 4 Clubs." But he also loved music! He joined his school choir in Villeneuve and even got to sing solo parts.
In 2010, a friend's dad heard him sing. He was so impressed that he offered to help Bastian record his songs. Bastian's first song, "Lucky," came out in March 2011. It quickly became popular in Switzerland!
Rising to Fame
After "Lucky" became a hit, Bastian performed at big music events. He played at the Caprices Festival and the famous Montreux Jazz Festival. His first album, Tomorrow May Not Be Better, was released in September 2011. It reached number 3 on the Swiss music charts! This success earned him the "Best Breaking Act" award in 2012. He even got to perform on a French TV show called Taratata. His music then became popular in France too.
In 2012, Bastian joined the French TV show Danse avec les stars, which is like "Dancing with the Stars." He danced with Katrina Patchett and finished in 7th place.
Touring and New Adventures
Bastian Baker has shared the stage with big stars. In 2018, he opened for all of Shania Twain's "Now Tour" concerts. He even sang her hit song "Party for Two" with her during her show!
In a fun twist, Bastian signed a one-year contract with a professional ice hockey team in 2020. He joined HCV Martigny in the MySports League, showing he still loves the sport!

Bastian's parents are Bruno Kaltenbacher and Magali. He has two sisters, Margaux and Marine. Interestingly, Marine is also a singer and goes by the name MARYNE.
