Batdorf & Bronson is a well-known coffee company. It started in 1986 in Olympia, Washington. Many people think their coffee is really good! Travel guides like Lonely Planet and Fodor's have even said it's some of the best coffee around. You can find their main coffee roasting place right next to the Olympia Farmer's Market.

Coffee That Cares About Earth
Batdorf & Bronson cares a lot about our planet. They are part of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Green Power Partnership. This means they use 100% renewable energy to power their business. They were the very first coffee company in the U.S. to do this!
Awards for Green Efforts
The State of Washington gave them an award in 2002 for their great environmental work. In 2007, the EPA also recognized them. This award was for helping to promote green energy in the Northwest.
Triple-Certified Coffee
Their coffee is also "triple-certified." This means it meets three important standards:
- Fairtrade: This helps make sure farmers get a fair price for their coffee beans.
- Rainforest Alliance: This means the coffee is grown in a way that protects rainforests and wildlife.
- Organic: This means the coffee is grown without harmful chemicals.

Batdorf & Bronson started in Olympia, Washington. In 2015, they opened new stores. They expanded their business to the Georgetown area in Washington, D.C. By 2004, they also had another roasting place in Atlanta, Georgia. Plus, they had a store in Decatur, Georgia. You can even order their coffee online from anywhere in the world!
