Battle of Kosovo facts for kids
The Battle of Kosovo was a very important fight between the Serbian army and the Ottoman Empire. It happened on June 15, 1389, which was known as St. Vitus' Day back then. Today, this day is celebrated on June 28.
Both sides suffered huge losses in this battle. It was such a difficult fight that it actually slowed down the Ottoman Empire's advance into Europe for many years. This battle is remembered as a key moment in the history of both Serbia and the Ottoman Empire.
