First Marriage and Family
On October 16, 1897, Beatrix married Henry Beresford, 6th Marquess of Waterford. After their wedding, she was known as the Marchioness of Waterford. Their wedding was a big event in high society.
Beatrix and Henry had six children together:
- Lady Blanche Maud Beresford (1898–1940), who married Richard Girouard and had children.
- Lady Katharine Nora (1899–), who married her cousin, Sir David Dawnay, and had children.
- John Charles de La Poer Beresford, 7th Marquess of Waterford (1901–1934).

- Lord Hugh Beresford (1908–1941), who sadly passed away during the Second World War while serving in the Royal Navy.
Second Marriage and Important Work
Her first husband, the Marquess, passed away in 1911. Beatrix remarried on August 19, 1918. Her second husband was Osborne Beauclerk, 12th Duke of St Albans, who was known to his friends as "Obby".
They made their home at Newtown Anner in Northern Ireland. Through this marriage, she became Lady Osborne Beauclerk. She later became the Duchess of St. Albans in 1934, when her husband became the Duke.
Beatrix was honored for her hard work as a hospital administrator during the First World War. She received two important awards: the Order of the British Empire (as a Knight Grand Cross) in 1919, and the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (as a Dame of Grace).
