Turner was famous for her "Ghetto (Greatest History Ever Told To Our People) Bus Tours." These tours showed people the real lives of those in public housing. She wanted to give a voice to people who felt unheard.
Beauty Turner was also a talented writer. She was an editor for the Chicago (South) Street Journal. She also wrote columns for the Hyde Park Herald and other local newspapers. Her articles even appeared in The Wall Street Journal.
