History of Beemont
Beemont got its name in a fun way! People joked that the few businesses there were "as busy as a bee." So, they called the community Beemont, which sounds a bit like "bee mount" or "bee home."
A post office was opened in Beemont way back in 1878. This was an important place for people to send and receive letters and packages. The post office served the community for many years, but it eventually closed down in 1915.
