Belews Creek, Missouri facts for kids
Belews Creek is a small community located in Jefferson County, in the U.S. state of Missouri. It sits about 705 feet (or 215 meters) above sea level. When we say "populated place," it means it's a spot where people live, but it's not officially a city or town with its own local government.
Its History
The community of Belews Creek has roots going back to the mid-1800s. A post office was opened there in 1856. This was an important place for people to send and receive letters and packages. The post office served the community for many years before closing in 1905. The area was named after an early settler, a person who came to live there a long time ago, named Silas Belews.
