How Belleville Started

However, Plummer faced money problems. He lost the land in 1909. Later, in 1917, a man named John Eberwine bought the land at an auction. When Eberwine learned about the church's original plan, he decided to continue the project. He helped make the dream of a community in Belleville come true.
