Benjamin Peter Cameron (born February 21, 1981) is an Australian cricket coach and a former player. He played as a right-handed opening batsman.
Playing Cricket
Ben Cameron played for the South Australia team from 2004 to 2007. He played 10 first-class games and 9 List A games. These are different types of professional cricket matches.
Early Career Highlights
When he made his debut in the Sheffield Shield competition, he played against the Victoria team. In that match, he scored two half-centuries. This means he scored more than 50 runs twice in that game, which is a great start!
Moving into Coaching
Ben Cameron stopped playing cricket in 2007 because of a knee injury. After that, he started working as a coach. He coached cricket teams in South Australian Premier Cricket.
Coaching Vanuatu
In March 2022, Ben was chosen to be the high performance manager and head coach for Vanuatu Cricket. This meant he was in charge of helping the Vanuatu national cricket team get better. However, he left these jobs in January 2023 for personal reasons.
