Bengü Erden (born 2 April 1979) is a famous Turkish singer. She started her music journey at the İzmir State Symphony Orchestra. In İzmir, she even played a main role in the musical "Oliver Twist".
Bengü took singing lessons and later came in second place at a music competition called Pop Show '98 in 1998. After that, she studied music in Istanbul. She also sang backup for the well-known singer Kenan Doğulu for three years. In 2007, Bengü won a singing competition on TV called Bak Kim Dans Ediyor. Her first album, Hoş Geldin, came out in 2000.
Her songs like "Korkma Kalbim", "İki Melek", "Aşkım", and "Yaralı" have become big hits. She has released eight studio albums and six singles. Bengü has also won several awards for her music.

Early Steps in Music
Bengü's first album, Hoş Geldin, was released in July 2000. Many famous musicians helped create this album. It had nine songs and one remix. Bengü performed in almost 300 concerts with this album.
Her big break came in 2005 with her second album, Bağlasan Durmam. She wrote and composed some songs on this album herself. Songs like "Korkumdan Ağladım" and "Bağlasan Durmam" became music videos. Chart-Topping Successes
In 2009, Bengü's fifth album, İki Melek, was released. Songs like "İki Melek" and "Kocaman Öpüyorum" reached number one on the music charts for seven weeks. This album sold 125,000 copies and earned a gold award. Bengü also won "Best Female Pop Artist" awards that year.
In 2010, her new single, "Sırada Sen Varsın", was released. It quickly sold many copies and was a big success for her.
In 2011, Bengü released the album Dört Dörtlük. Its main song, "Aşkım", was very popular. It was the most searched song on Google in Turkey in 2011. Bengü also became the "most followed artist" in Turkey that year.
In 2012, Bengü released a mini-album called "Anlatacaklarım Var". The song "Yaralı" from this album was number one on Turkey's music charts for seven weeks. This song also won the "Most Played Song" award at the Turkey Music Awards in 2014.
Continued Hits and Albums
After the success of "Yaralı", Bengü released the single "Saygımdan" in 2013. This song was also very popular and topped the charts for five weeks in 2014.
Her seventh studio album, İkinci Hal, came out in October 2014. Its first song, "Sahici", became number one on the charts for five weeks. Bengü was one of the top artists in 2014 with many number-one songs. Another song from the album, "Feveran", also did very well online and received a gold award.
In 2016, Bengü released her fifth single, "Hodri Meydan". It quickly became number one on many music lists. Another single, "Sığamıyorum", was released later that year. Its music video got millions of views very quickly.
Recent Music Releases
Bengü's eighth studio album, Altın Çağ, was released in 2017. Several songs from this album, including "Kuzum" and "Altın Çağ", had music videos.
In 2019, she released a new single called "Yazık". She also worked with Bilal Sonses on a duet song called "İçimden Gelmiyor". Later that year, her single "Günaydın" was released.
