Kenan Doğulu is a famous Turkish pop musician. He was born on May 31, 1974. He is known for his catchy songs and energetic performances. In 2007, he represented Turkey at the Eurovision Song Contest in Helsinki. He finished in fourth place with his song "Shake It Up Şekerim." In 2006, he released a popular album called Festival. Kenan Doğulu comes from a very musical family. His father, Yurdaer Doğulu, was also a musician. Kenan's brother, Ozan Doğulu, is a musician too. His sister, Cenan Doğulu, is a fashion designer. Kenan once shared that his family name, "Doğulu," means "from the East." His first name, "Kenan," is linked to the ancient land of Canaan.
In February 2012, Kenan Doğulu started dating actress Beren Saat. They got engaged in Istanbul on February 23, 2014. Later that year, on July 29, 2014, they got married in a private ceremony in Los Angeles, United States.
Kenan Doğulu's Education and Music Journey
Kenan Doğulu started his music journey very early. When he was just five years old, he joined a conservatory to study piano. He was so talented that he got in with the highest score! He studied piano for six years. He also learned to play the flute and the guitar. Besides instruments, he took lessons in theater and sang in a children's choir. He even learned to play rhythm instruments.
He finished high school at Kültür College. After that, he went to Hesser College in the USA to study communication. He also attended the L.A. Musicians Institute. Later, he continued his studies in Turkey at Istanbul Bilgi University. All this learning helped him become the amazing musician he is today.
