Beren Saat (born 26 February 1984) is a very popular Turkish actress. She has won many awards for her acting. She became famous for her roles in TV shows like Aşk-ı Memnu and Fatmagül'ün Suçu Ne?.
While she was studying at Başkent University, Beren Saat joined an acting competition called Türkiye'nin Yıldızları. This is where a famous Turkish director, Tomris Giritlioğlu, noticed her talent. This helped her start her professional acting career.
Beren Saat first appeared in a TV series called Aşkımızda Ölüm Var in 2004. She then got a bigger role in Aşka Sürgün (2005–2006). She became well-known for playing Yasemin Ünsal in the political series Hatırla Sevgili (2006–2008). She gained international fame for her role as Bihter Yöreoğlu Ziyagil in the romantic series Aşk-ı Memnu (2008–2010). For this role, she won two Golden Butterfly Awards.

Beren Saat was born in Ankara, Turkey, on February 26, 1984. Her parents, Ayla and Hüseyin Avni Saat, were both sports academy graduates. She has one brother named Cem Saat.
She grew up in Ankara and went to TED Ankara College Foundation Private High School. She also briefly attended Başkent University. With encouragement from her friends, she entered an acting competition called Türkiye'nin Yıldızları. She came in second place in the competition.

In 2004, Beren Saat played Nermin in the TV series Aşkımızda Ölüm Var. The next year, in 2005, she got her first main role as Zilan Şahvar Azizoğlu in Aşka Sürgün.
In 2006, she starred as Yasemin Ünsal in the popular series Hatırla Sevgili. This show was about political events in Turkey from the 1950s to the 1970s. Aşk-ı Memnu and International Recognition (2008–2010)
In 2008, Beren Saat took on a leading role as Bihter Yöreoğlu Ziyagil in Aşk-ı Memnu (meaning Forbidden Love). This romantic drama was based on a famous Turkish novel. She starred alongside Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ, Selçuk Yöntem, and Nebahat Çehre.
The story is about Bihter, who falls in love with her husband's nephew. Aşk-ı Memnu became one of the most-watched TV series in Turkish history. Many people watched the final episode. Beren Saat's acting in the final episode was highly praised. A famous Turkish actress, Selda Alkor, said Beren Saat played the character's feelings so well that she would become a very important actress.

Beren Saat's first full-length movie was Güz Sancısı (Pains of Autumn) in 2009. She played a Greek character named Elena. In the same year, she also acted in Gecenin Kanatları (Wings of the Night), playing a character named Gece.
In 2010, she lent her voice to Barbie in the Turkish version of the animated movie Toy Story 3. She also became the face of the chips brand Patos, which led to a big increase in their sales. She also appeared in advertisements for Rexona.
In 2010, Beren Saat starred in the TV series Fatmagül'ün Suçu Ne? (What Is Fatmagül's Fault?). This show was based on a 1986 movie. She played Fatmagül Ketenci Ilgaz. In the summer of 2013, Beren Saat took on a main role in the movie Benim Dünyam (My World). This movie was based on the 2005 Indian film Black. Recent Work: The Gift (2019–2021)
From 2019 to 2021, Beren Saat starred in the Netflix original series The Gift. She played the main character, Atiye, an artist who discovers ancient secrets in Anatolia. The series first aired on December 27, 2019. It was even listed by BBC as one of the top 10 recommended series for December 2019. Critics praised her performance and the show. The second season was released in September 2020, and the third and final season came out in June 2021.
Personal Life
Beren Saat started dating singer Kenan Doğulu in February 2012. They got engaged on February 23, 2014, in Istanbul. They were married on July 29, 2014, in a private ceremony in Los Angeles, California, in the United States.
Charity Work
Beren Saat has been involved in many social projects to help others.
- In 2011, she became the face of the deodorant brand Rexona. She donated all the money she earned from this to "Mor Çatı", a foundation that helps women.
- In 2012, she designed T-shirts for Elle magazine. Most of the money from selling these T-shirts went to the "Nar Taneleri Projesi" (Pomegranate Seeds Project). This project helps educate young orphan girls.
- In December 2012, she appeared on a calendar to raise money for children with leukemia. The money from selling these calendars was given to the "Health and Education Foundation for Children with Leukemia."
- Beren Saat also supported a project by the European Union and Afghanistan's Ministry of Health. This project aimed to help women have healthy childbirths in Afghanistan.
- In September 2014, she lent her voice to an advertisement for the "Baba Beni Okula Gönder" (Daddy Send Me to School) campaign.
- In October 2014, during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, she took part in a symbolic event at Abdi İpekçi Arena to raise awareness.
