Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ (born October 27, 1983) is a very famous Turkish actor and model. He was also a basketball player before he started acting. He has won many awards for his acting, including four Golden Butterfly Awards for Best Actor. He also won the "Best Model of Turkey" and "Best Model of the World" contests in 2002.

Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ is known as a top actor in Turkey. He has starred in many popular TV shows. These include Menekşe ile Halil (2007–2008), Aşk-ı Memnu (2008–2010), Kuzey Güney (2011–2013), and Cesur ve Güzel (2016–2017). These roles made him well-known both in Turkey and around the world. He also played Arman in the Netflix series Into the Night (2021) and Yakamoz S-245 (2022).

Early Life and Family

Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ was born on October 27, 1983, in Adana, Turkey. His parents are Erdem and Nurten Tatlıtuğ. His family has been in the bakery business in Adana for over a hundred years.

He went to Yenice Çağ Private High School. He was very good at basketball there. His family later moved to Istanbul because his father needed medical treatment. In Istanbul, he played basketball for several professional youth clubs. However, he had to stop playing basketball because of a leg injury. He finished his studies at Istanbul Kultur University in 2013.

Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ married stylist Başak Dizer on February 19, 2016, in Paris. Their son, Kurt Efe, was born in April 2022. You can even see a sculpture of Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ at Madame Tussauds Istanbul.

Film Roles

He acted in the comedy film Amerikalılar Karadenizde 2. He also lent his voice to the character Ken in the Turkish version of Toy Story 3. In 2013, Kıvanç played the poet Muzaffer Tayyip Uslu in the drama film Kelebeğin Rüyası. He won awards for his acting in this movie.

Web Series Roles

Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ played the character Arman in two Netflix web series. These were Into the Night and Yakamoz S-245.

Television Roles

Kıvanç started his television career by hosting some shows. He then starred in Gümüş as Mehmet Şadoğlu. He also had a small role in the fantasy series Acemi Cadı. Later, he starred in Menekşe ile Halil.

A big moment in his career was when he played Sekiz in the series Ezel. From 2011 to 2013, he played Kuzey Tekinoğlu in the drama series Kuzey Güney. He won two Golden Butterfly Awards for Best Actor for his roles in Aşk-ı Memnu and Kuzey Güney. He also acted in the historical series Kurt Seyit ve Şura in 2014.
