Benicàssim (also known as Benicasim) is a fun beach town in Spain. It's located in the province of Castellón, right on the beautiful Costa del Azahar. A mountain range called the Desert de les Palmes helps protect the town from strong winds.
The name Benicàssim comes from an old tribe called the Banu Qasim. This tribe settled here a long time ago, during the 8th century, when Arabs came to Spain.
Benicàssim is about 13 kilometers north of the city of Castellón de la Plana. It's part of the Valencian Community in Spain. The town has a population of about 19,000 people. Most of the town's money comes from tourism. People love to visit Benicàssim for its amazing beaches and famous music festivals.
