Benjamin Barker lived in the city of Bath, Somerset, England. Bath is famous for its Roman baths and Georgian architecture. Living there likely inspired many of his landscape paintings.

An artist named Thales Fielding created forty-eight prints of Barker's landscapes. These prints were made using a special technique called aquatint.
