Benjamin Husband was a famous British actor who lived a long time ago, in the 1700s. He was known for performing in many plays on stage. His last name is sometimes spelled as Husbands.
He was born in a place called Pembrokeshire in 1672. That's over 350 years ago! Benjamin worked with important theater groups in London, like the ones at Lincoln's Inn Fields and Drury Lane. These were very popular theaters back then.
Later, he moved to Dublin, Ireland, and joined the Smock Alley Theatre. In 1746, when he had a special show called a "benefit performance" (where the money from tickets went to him), people said he was the oldest actor still performing.
