Benjestown, Tennessee facts for kids
Benjestown is a small place in Shelby County, Tennessee, United States. It's part of the larger Memphis metropolitan area. An unincorporated community means it's a town or village that doesn't have its own local government, but is part of a bigger county.
History
Benjestown used to be called Benjes. A long time ago, in 1880, a post office opened there. This post office helped people send and receive mail until it closed in 1900. The community probably got its name from William Benjes, who was a businessman from Germany.
