Raymond Scott (born July 18, 1965), known as Benzino, is an American musician and TV personality. He is a rapper, a record producer, and has appeared on television shows. Benzino also helped run The Source magazine, which is a well-known hip hop publication.

Music Career and Groups
Benzino was inspired to get into rap music after watching the film Wild Style. He was a founding member of two rap groups: The Almighty RSO and Made Men. These groups helped him make his mark in the hip hop world.

Besides music, Benzino is also known for being on TV. He appeared on the reality television show Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta starting in 2012. He was also part of Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars in 2015-2016.
Family Life
Benzino's father, Edward DeJesus, was Puerto Rican, and his mother, Mary Scott, was Black American and Cape Verdean. He has two sisters, Anita Scott-Wilson and Maureen Scott. Benzino has four children, including his daughter Coi Leray, who is also a popular musician.
