Giuseppe Bigazzi (born in Terranuova Bracciolini on January 20, 1933 – died in Arezzo on October 7, 2019) was an Italian TV personality, writer, and journalist. He was well-known for being a presenter on the RAI cooking show La prova del cuoco.
In February 2010, while on a TV cooking show, Beppe Bigazzi talked about a dish from his home area of Valdarno, Tuscany. He mentioned that during difficult times in World War II, a certain stew was considered a tasty and common meal. He later said he was just joking. However, he also added that people in the area did eat such things during periods when food was very scarce. Many people in the media were upset by his comments. Because of this, he was later removed from the television network.
