Bernard Blier (born January 11, 1916 – died March 29, 1989) was a famous French actor. He was born far away in Buenos Aires, Argentina. His dad was a scientist working there at the time.
Life and Career
Bernard Blier was known for being a very flexible actor. He could play many different kinds of roles, from funny comedies to serious dramas. He acted in a huge number of movies – 175 in total! He also appeared in many Italian films, especially later in his career.
Just before he passed away in 1989, he received a special award called an Honorary César. This award is like the French version of an Oscar, given to people who have done amazing work in movies. He received it only 24 days before he died.
Family Life
Bernard Blier was the father of a well-known movie director named Bertrand Blier. Bernard even acted in some of his son's movies. One of their most famous films together was Buffet froid (1979).
