Life in Movies and Beyond

Bernard Glasser grew up in Chicago. When he was young, he watched his first movie and instantly knew he wanted to make films. He had to wait until after World War II to start his dream. His first job in the film world was helping out on movie sets, while he also worked as a substitute teacher at Beverly Hills High School.

From that first job, Glasser worked on many films. He became a producer for the first time with Gold Raiders (1951), a film starring The Three Stooges. He also produced other movies like Space Master X-7 (1958) and Return of the Fly (1959). Besides movies, he produced a TV show called Assignment Underwater from 1960 to 1962.

Sometimes, Bernard Glasser also directed films. Some of the movies he directed include The Sergeant Was a Lady (1961), Run Like a Thief (1968), and Triangle (1970). After a long career in movies, he decided to retire and work in real estate instead.
