Early Life and Background
Bertín Osborne was born in Madrid, Spain. He grew up in the towns of Puerto de Santa María and Jerez de la Frontera. His father, Enrique Ortiz López-Valdemoro, came from a noble family. Bertín's mother's family name, Osborne, comes from an ancestor who moved from England to Spain in the late 1700s. This ancestor started the well-known Osborne Group, a wine company.
Music and Acting Career
Bertín Osborne first performed music in 1971. However, it wasn't until 1980 that he signed his first record deal. Since then, he has released many successful albums.
He has also worked as an actor, mainly in television shows. He has appeared in several TV series and soap operas, including some made in South America. Bertín is also very popular as a TV presenter, hosting many different shows over the years.
Family Life
Bertín Osborne has been married twice. His first marriage was to Alejandra "Sandra" Domecq Williams from 1977 to 1991. They had three daughters: Alejandra, Eugenia, and Claudia. They also had a son, Cristian, who sadly passed away when he was less than a year old.
In 2006, Bertín married Fabiola Martínez Benavides. They have two sons, Norberto Enrique and Carlos Alberto. Their son Norberto was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, a condition that affects movement and muscle coordination.

Because of his son's diagnosis, Bertín created the Fundación Bertín Osborne. This is a special organization that helps children with cerebral palsy and their families. The foundation works to support these children and spread information about treatments. Bertín has even shared how his son received treatment at The Institutes for the Achievement of Human Potential (IAHP) and uses his foundation to tell others in Spain about their work.
