Norberto Juan Ortiz y Osborne, known to many as Bertín Osborne, is a famous Spanish singer. He was born on December 7, 1954. He also holds the title of the 9th Count of Donadío de Casasola.

Bertín Osborne's Life Story

Bertín Osborne was born in Madrid, Spain. His father, Enrique Ortiz López-Valdemoro, was from a noble family. Bertín grew up in Puerto de Santa María and Jerez de la Frontera.

His family name, Osborne, comes from an ancestor. This ancestor moved from England to Spain in the late 1700s. He started a well-known wine company called the Osborne Group.

Bertín Osborne's Career

Bertín Osborne first performed music in 1971. This was at a Song Festival in El Escorial. However, he did not sign his first record deal until 1980.

Besides singing, Bertín is also an actor. He has appeared in several TV shows and soap operas. Some of these shows were made in South America. He has mostly acted on television.

Bertín Osborne's Family Life

Bertín Osborne has been married twice. His first wife was Alejandra "Sandra" Domecq Williams. They were married from 1977 to 1991. Sandra passed away in 2004.

They had three daughters: Alejandra (born 1978), Eugenia (born 1986), and Claudia (born 1989). They also had a son, Cristian, who sadly passed away in 1977 when he was less than one year old.

Bertín married Fabiola Martínez Benavides on June 10, 2006. Fabiola is from Maracaibo, Venezuela. They have two sons together: Norberto Enrique and Carlos Alberto.

Their son Norberto was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. This is a condition that affects movement and muscle coordination. Because of this, Bertín started the Fundación Bertín Osborne. This is a special organization that helps children with cerebral palsy.

The foundation also helps families learn about treatments. Bertín has taken his son to a place called The Institutes for the Achievement of Human Potential (IAHP) for help. He uses his foundation to share information about IAHP's work in Spain.

In June 2025, Bertín Osborne became the 9th Count of Donadío de Casasola. He received this title after his father passed away.

Bertín Osborne has released many albums throughout his career. Some of his popular albums include Amor Mediterráneo (1981) and Sabor A México (2000). His album Va Por Ellos (2008) was a special project. The money from this album helped a charity called Fundación Padre Garralda.

Bertín Osborne has had a long career in television. He is well-known as a TV presenter and host. He has hosted many popular shows in Spain.
