Betsy Brandt (born March 14, 1973) is an American actress. She is well-known for her role as Marie Schrader in the TV show Breaking Bad. She also played Heather Hughes in the sitcom Life in Pieces.

Early Life and Education
Betsy Brandt was born in Bay City, Michigan. She finished high school at Bay City Western High School in 1991. From a young age, Betsy was interested in theater. She first wanted to direct plays, but after getting a main role in a high school play, she decided to focus on acting.
She went to the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign and earned a degree in acting in 1996. She also studied at Harvard University and in Scotland. After college, Betsy moved to Seattle. There, she acted in plays and short films. Later, she moved to Los Angeles to continue her acting career.
Acting Career Highlights

Betsy Brandt has acted in many plays. Some of these include Much Ado About Nothing and The Language Archive. She has also appeared as a guest star in popular TV shows. These include Without a Trace, ER, and NCIS.
From 2008 to 2013, Betsy played Marie Schrader in the drama series Breaking Bad. She tried out for three different roles before getting the part of Marie. She described her character as someone who would always be there for her family. In 2012, she joined the cast of Parenthood.
Betsy also starred as Annie Henry in The Michael J. Fox Show, which started in 2013. People really liked her performance in this show. She even returned as Marie Schrader for the final episode of the show Better Call Saul.
From 2015 to 2019, Betsy was a main character in the comedy series Life in Pieces. She played Heather Short Hughes. The show ran for four seasons. In 2020, she was cast in a TV pilot called Jefferies, but it was not aired.
Personal Life and Family
Betsy Brandt married Grady Olsen in 1998. They met at the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign. They have two children together. Their second child was born in 2008, while Betsy was filming Breaking Bad. Betsy and her family live in Los Angeles. In 2023, Betsy and her husband separated.
In 2010, Betsy was honored as a distinguished former student at her old high school, Bay City Western High School. She also gave a speech at the graduation ceremony.
