Working for Michigan Residents
From 2007 to 2010, Representative Scott worked hard on important issues. She was part of the Michigan House's Labor committee. She also served on the Regulatory Reform committee.
Changing Laws for Drivers
One of her main goals was to change the Driver Responsibility Act of 2003. This law created fees for drivers. She worked to amend, or change, this act.
In 2018, her efforts led to a big success. Legislation was passed that helped to remove these driver responsibility fees. This meant people would no longer have to pay them.
Serving Her Community
After a state Senate election in August 2018, Representative Scott did not return to the state House in Lansing. Lansing is where the Michigan government meets.
Office Support for Citizens
Even though she was not physically present, her office continued to help people. The Michigan House's business office took over her duties. They made sure the needs of the 2nd House district residents were still met. This support continued until her term ended.
