Istanbul Beykent University (Turkish: İstanbul Beykent Üniversitesi) is a private university in Istanbul, Turkey. It teaches many subjects in English, Russian, and Turkish. About 30,000 students study there.
The university helps its students study abroad through programs like Socrates and Erasmus. This means Beykent students can go to European universities. Also, students from Europe can come to study in Turkey.
Some important people have taught at Beykent University. For example, Ahmet Davutoğlu, who used to be a high-ranking government official in Turkey, was a professor there from 1999 to 2004. He led the International Relations Department. Ömer Dinçer, a former Minister of National Education in Turkey, also taught at Beykent from 1999 to 2003.
Beykent University also has successful sports teams! Their Men's Volleyball Team won the championship in a big university tournament in 2013.

History of Beykent University
Beykent University is a private university. It was started by the Adem Çelik - Beykent Educational Foundation on July 9, 1997. This was done under a special law, Law No. 4282.
The founder, Adem Çelik, believed that education is key to solving problems in Turkey. He wanted to help the community. So, he created a full education system. This system goes from kindergarten to high school, and then to Beykent University.
The university first opened its doors in the 1997-1998 school year. It started at the Büyükçekmece Campus. Today, the university teaches students at four modern campuses. These campuses are located in central parts of Istanbul.
What You Can Study
Beykent University offers many different programs. You can study subjects in various fields. Here are some of the main areas:
Faculties and Schools
- Faculty of Science and Literature: Here you can study English, History, Psychology, and Sociology. You can also learn about Translation and Interpreting.
- Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences: This faculty teaches about Business, Economics, International Relations, and Tourism.
- Faculty of Engineering and Architecture: If you like building or designing, you can study Architecture, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering here.
- Faculty of Law: This is where you can study Law.
- Faculty of Fine Arts: If you are creative, you can learn Acting, Cinema and TV, Graphic Design, or Textile and Design.
- Faculty of Communication: This faculty focuses on New Media, Public Relations, and Television Reporting.
- Faculty of Medicine: Here you can study to become a doctor.
- Faculty of Dentistry: This faculty teaches you to become a dentist.
- School of Applied Sciences: You can learn about Gastronomy (cooking) and Industrial Design.

The Vocational School offers shorter programs, usually two years long. These programs help you get ready for a job quickly. Some examples include:

University Campuses
Beykent University has several campuses across Istanbul. Each campus offers different programs and facilities.

- Taksim Campus - Taksim, Beyoğlu
Beylikdüzü Campus
The Beylikdüzü Campus is located in the Büyükçekmece area of Istanbul. It is a large, 12-floor building. It is close to a life center, healthcare places, and the Tüyap Exhibition area.
This campus has modern classrooms, labs, and studios. It also has an auditorium and a cultural center. Students can use the outdoor sports area and swimming pool at Beykent College.
The Vocational School is mainly located here. It offers many different programs. The Communications Faculty also started teaching at this campus in 2008.
Ayazağa-Maslak Campus
The Ayazağa-Maslak Campus is in the Sarıyer region of Istanbul. This modern building opened in 2005. It can hold up to 8,000 students. It mainly offers bachelor's degree programs.
In 2011, the campus was improved. Now, it can hold up to 12,000 students.
Taksim Campus
The Taksim Campus is in Istanbul's main culture and arts district. This 5000 square meter building opened in 2004. It is the main place for the Social Sciences Institute. Most post-graduate programs are taught here.
The Law Faculty is also located in this building. It started teaching here in the 2008-2009 school year. This campus also offers Distance Learning programs.
Affiliations
The university is a member of the Caucasus University Association. This means it connects with other universities in the Caucasus region.
