Muntukayise Bhekuyise Ntuli (born December 24, 1957 – died January 16, 2021) was an important South African politician. He was a member of the African National Congress (ANC). He served in the South African Parliament from 1999 to 2003. Later, he became a member of the KwaZulu-Natal Legislature in 2009. In 2019, he was appointed as the MEC for Transport, Community Safety & Liaison in KwaZulu-Natal. He passed away in 2021 due to complications from COVID-19.

About Bheki Ntuli's Early Life and Schooling
Ntuli was born on December 24, 1957. His birthplace was Mtubatuba, a town north of Richard's Bay in South Africa. In 1980, he finished high school at Siyamukela High School. This school is located in Madadeni, near Newcastle.
He earned a primary teachers certificate from Madadeni College. He also studied management at the UCT Graduate School of Business. From the University of the Witwatersrand, he received a certificate in leadership. Ntuli also completed a special diploma at the University of Johannesburg. This diploma focused on research, diplomacy, and justice.
Bheki Ntuli's Political Journey
Ntuli was very active in the African National Congress (ANC). He worked secretly against apartheid, which was a system of unfair racial separation. He also helped set up ANC groups in Northern Natal.
For 15 years, he led the ANC's Musa Dladla region. He was also part of the ANC's Peace and Stability Committee for over 20 years.
Serving in Parliament
In 1999, Ntuli was elected to the National Assembly. This is the lower house of the South African parliament. He represented the ANC there. He left parliament in 2003 because of issues with his travel and medical aid claims. The Speaker, Frene Ginwala, said his actions were not acceptable.
Working in KwaZulu-Natal
In the 2009 general election, Ntuli was elected. He became a member of the KwaZulu-Natal Legislature. For nine years, he worked on different committees. He was part of the transport committee. He also led the community safety and liaison committee.
On September 11, 2019, he got a new important job. He became the Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for Transport, Community Safety and Liaison. He took over from Mxolisi Kaunda, who became the Mayor of eThekwini Metropolitan Municipality.
His Passing
Bheki Ntuli passed away on January 16, 2021. He died from problems caused by COVID-19. This happened during the COVID-19 pandemic in South Africa. At the time of his death, he was still a member of the ANC's provincial executive committee.
