TaJuan Akeem Perry, known as Big Noyd, is an American rapper born on August 15, 1975. He is well-known for working closely with the famous hip hop group Mobb Deep. Big Noyd has appeared on almost all of Mobb Deep's albums, showing his strong connection to the group.

Big Noyd's Music Journey
Starting Out in Hip Hop
Big Noyd first appeared in the music world in 1993. He was featured on a song called "Stomp 'Em Out" from Mobb Deep's first album, Juvenile Hell. However, he really started to get noticed in 1995. This was when he appeared on Mobb Deep's very popular album, The Infamous. He was featured on several songs from that album, including "Right Back At You" and "Party Over." He also appeared on the song "Give Up the Goods (Just Step)". Big Noyd later shared that he received his first big music contract, worth $300,000, because of his performance on "Give Up The Goods (Just Step)."
Releasing His Own Albums
Big Noyd released his first album, Episodes of a Rapper, in 1996. It was released by Tommy Boy Records. In 2000, Big Noyd joined a record label called Infamous Records. This label was started by Prodigy, who was a member of Mobb Deep. Big Noyd was featured on two songs from Prodigy's first solo album, H.N.I.C.. This album was very successful and sold over 500,000 copies.
In 2003, Big Noyd released his second album, Only The Strong. Just like his first album, this one also featured many artists connected to Mobb Deep. He released his third album, On the Grind, in 2004. This album also featured many guest artists from the Mobb Deep family. Big Noyd released On the Grind independently through Monopolee Records. He helped start this record label to have more control over his music. In 2007, he started his own company called Noyd Inc.
How Big Noyd Got His Name
Big Noyd got his stage name from a friend. His friend thought he looked like 'The Noid', a character from Domino's Pizza advertisements.

Big Noyd has a mixed heritage. He is of Puerto Rican and African American descent. He has a daughter who lives in Queensbridge, Queens. Queensbridge is a well-known neighborhood in New York City.
