The rasagolas made by Bikalananda Kar's family are thought to be the very best in Odisha. These delicious sweets are often called "Bikali Kar Rasagola." You can find them sold all over Odisha and even in other countries! People love them because they are made using special traditional methods.

Keeping Sweet Traditions Alive

To help keep traditional Odia sweet-making alive, the Government of Odisha worked with Jadavpur University. Together, they set up a special training center in Cuttack. This center is called the B. K. Industrial Training Centre, named after Bikalananda Kar.

The institute teaches students how to make sweets using both old and new methods. They learn to create over 500 different kinds of sweets from Odisha. This helps make sure that the amazing sweet-making skills of Odisha continue for many years to come.
