Bill Skarsgård (born August 9, 1990) is a Swedish actor. He is very well known for playing the scary clown Pennywise in the movies It (2017) and It Chapter Two (2019). He has also appeared in other exciting films and TV shows.
Some of his other roles include the TV series Hemlock Grove (2013–2015) and Castle Rock (2018–2019). He was also in the action movies Atomic Blonde (2017) and John Wick: Chapter 4 (2023).

Bill Skarsgård was born on August 9, 1990, in Vällingby, Stockholm, Sweden. His father is the famous actor Stellan Skarsgård. His mother is My Skarsgård, a doctor.
Bill comes from a big family of actors! He has seven brothers and sisters. Three of his brothers, Alexander, Gustaf, and Valter, are also well-known actors.
Acting Career
Starting Out (2011–2016)
In 2011, Bill Skarsgård was nominated for an award called the Guldbagge Award. This was for his main role as Simon in the movie Simple Simon. When he was 21, he won the European Film Academy's Shooting Stars Award in 2012. This award recognizes talented young actors in Europe.
From 2013 to 2015, Skarsgård played Roman Godfrey in the Netflix series Hemlock Grove. In 2016, he appeared in the science fiction movie The Divergent Series: Allegiant. This was one of his first big American films.
Becoming Famous (2017–Present)
Bill Skarsgård became very famous for playing the scary villain Pennywise the Dancing Clown. He played this role in the 2017 movie It and again in the 2019 sequel, It Chapter Two. The director, Andy Muschietti, said that Bill could look cute one moment and then suddenly look dark and mysterious. He was amazed by Bill's ability to change for the role.
In 2018, Skarsgård was a regular actor in the TV series Castle Rock. He played a young man with a very unusual problem. That same year, he played Zeitgeist in the superhero movie Deadpool 2. In 2021, he used his voice to play the main bad guy, Kro, in the Marvel movie Eternals.
In 2022, Bill Skarsgård starred in the Netflix series Clark. He played Clark Olofsson, a well-known Swedish figure.
In 2023, Skarsgård played the main villain, Marquis de Gramont, in the action-packed movie John Wick: Chapter 4. He also played the main character in Boy Kills World.
He also starred in the movie The Crow, which came out in 2024. Bill said that playing the role was very intense and helped him get out his "demons." He also played Count Orlok in the 2024 movie Nosferatu. He described this role as "conjuring pure evil."
