Bill Istvan Günther Skarsgård (born August 9, 1990) is an actor from Sweden. He is famous for playing the scary character Pennywise the Dancing Clown in the horror movies It (2017) and It Chapter Two (2019). He has also been in other spooky shows like Hemlock Grove (2013–2015) and Castle Rock (2018–2019).
Bill Skarsgård has also acted in many different types of movies. These include the comedy Simple Simon (2010), the drama Nine Days (2020), and action films such as The Divergent Series: Allegiant (2016), Atomic Blonde (2017), and John Wick: Chapter 4 (2023).

Early Life and Family
Bill Skarsgård was born on August 9, 1990, in Vällingby, Sweden. His father is the well-known actor Stellan Skarsgård, and his mother is My Skarsgård, a doctor.
Bill comes from a large family of actors. He has seven brothers and sisters. Three of his brothers, Alexander, Gustaf, and Valter, are also actors. His other siblings are Sam, Eija, Ossian, and Kolbjörn. Ossian and Kolbjörn are his half-brothers from his father's second marriage.
Acting Career
Starting Out (2011–2016)
In 2011, Bill Skarsgård was nominated for a Guldbagge Award for his main role as Simon in the movie Simple Simon. This is a big award in Sweden.
The next year, in 2012, when he was 21, he won the European Film Academy's Shooting Stars Award. This award recognizes talented young actors in Europe. From 2013 to 2015, Skarsgård played Roman Godfrey in the Netflix show Hemlock Grove.
In 2016, he appeared in his first big American movie, the science fiction film The Divergent Series: Allegiant. He played the character Matthew.
Becoming Famous (2017–Present)
Bill Skarsgård became very well-known for his role as Pennywise the Dancing Clown in the 2017 horror movie It. He played the character again in the sequel, It Chapter Two, in 2019. The director, Andy Muschietti, said that Bill could look "cute" one second and then "dark" the next, which made him perfect for the role.
In 2018, Skarsgård was a regular actor in the TV series Castle Rock. He also played Zeitgeist in the superhero movie Deadpool 2 that same year. In 2021, he provided the voice for the bad guy Kro in the Marvel movie Eternals.
In 2022, Bill Skarsgård starred in the Netflix show Clark. He played Clark Olofsson, a famous Swedish criminal. His story led to the term Stockholm syndrome.
In 2023, he played the main villain, Marquis de Gramont, in the action movie John Wick: Chapter 4. He also starred as the main character in Boy Kills World.
Bill Skarsgård also led the new movie The Crow. He said that playing the role was intense and helped him "get the demons out." He has also been cast as Count Orlok in the new movie Nosferatu. He described playing Count Orlok as "conjuring pure evil."
He is also set to play Pennywise the Dancing Clown again in a new TV show called It: Welcome to Derry.
Personal Life
Bill Skarsgård is in a relationship with actress Alida Morberg. They have two children together. Their first child was born in October 2018, and their second child was born in 2023.
