Valter Skarsgård was born in Stockholm, Sweden. His birthday is October 25, 1995. His father is the actor Stellan Skarsgård. His mother, My Skarsgård, is a doctor.
Valter has seven brothers and sisters. Five of them are from his father's first marriage. These include his older brothers Alexander, Gustaf, Sam, and Bill, and his sister Eija. He also has two younger half-brothers, Ossian and Kolbjörn. They are from his father's second marriage.
Valter went to St. Erik's High School.
Valter's Acting Journey
Valter Skarsgård mostly acts in movies and TV shows made in Sweden or other Scandinavian countries. He started acting when he was a child. His first roles were in 2003. He appeared in a short film called To Kill a Child. His brother Alexander wrote and directed this film. He also appeared in Details, playing a younger version of his brother Gustaf's character.
In 2007, Valter and his brother Bill played the sons of a character named Knut Eriksson in the movie Arn: The Knight Templar. Gustaf played Knut Eriksson.
Valter got his first main role in a movie in 2013. This was in the film IRL. He then had his first main TV role in the series Black Lake. This show was on from 2016 to 2018.
Later, in 2018, he played a metal musician named Bård Guldvik "Faust" Eithun in the movie Lords of Chaos. After that, he starred in two horror films: Don't Click and Funhouse.
In 2021 and 2022, Valter became known to a wider audience. He appeared in several shows on Netflix. These included Katla and The Playlist. In 2023, he played the famous ice hockey player Börje Salming in a TV series called Börje.
