Wheaton College Billy Graham Center

The Billy Graham Center, also known as Billy Graham Hall, is a special building located at Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois. It was opened in 1981 and is named after the famous speaker and leader, Billy Graham. This center is a main spot for many of Wheaton College's classes about the bible and theology (which is the study of religious beliefs). It's also where the college's graduate school is based. Plus, it has several museums and places for events.

Exploring the Billy Graham Center Museum

The Wheaton College Billy Graham Center Museum first opened its doors in 1980. This museum helps visitors learn more about the "good news about Jesus." It has exhibits that show the history of Christian evangelism in the United States. Evangelism means sharing Christian beliefs with others. The museum also highlights the work of Billy Graham himself. There are often new exhibits that focus on themes like sharing faith, missions (sending people to help others), and Christian art.

Billy Graham Center vs. Billy Graham Library

It's easy to mix up the Billy Graham Center with the Billy Graham Library, but they are different! The Billy Graham Library opened in 2007 in Charlotte, North Carolina. Its main purpose is to help the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association share its message with the public. The Billy Graham Center, on the other hand, is more focused on education and history within Wheaton College.

A Place for History and Records

The Billy Graham Center is also a place where important historical records are kept. For example, it holds many boxes of records for a Christian organization called The Fellowship. In 2020, the building was officially renamed Billy Graham Hall.
