How It Started
Black Mark Production was founded in 1991. Many people thought that Quorthon, the leader of the band Bathory, was involved with the company. He even used a special label name on Bathory's albums, like Under the Sign of the Black Mark.
Quorthon's father, Börje "Boss" Forsberg, owned a company called Tyfon Grammofon. Quorthon was allowed to use his own special label on Bathory's albums, starting with their first album in 1984. However, Black Mark Production officially became its own company in 1991. Many believe Boss Forsberg was the one who founded it.
