History of Blanco
The community of Blanco got its start in 1887. That year, a post office was opened there, making it easier for people to send and receive mail. Besides the post office, Blanco also had a country store. This store was likely a central place where people could buy everyday items and meet their neighbors. The post office served the community for several years before closing down in 1901.
