Coves and Their Location
Inside Blanco Bay, you will find a few smaller bays, often called coves. These include:
- Sparrow Cove: This cove is located within the main Blanco Bay.
- Gypsy Cove: Found in the southern part of Blanco Bay, Gypsy Cove is famous for its wildlife. It's a protected area where you can often see penguins!
- Yorke Bay: This smaller bay is also in the southern part of Blanco Bay, very close to Gypsy Cove and northwest of Port Stanley Airport.
Connection to Port Stanley
A small channel connects Blanco Bay to the town of Port Stanley itself. This natural waterway allows smaller boats to pass through, linking the bay directly to the main harbor of the capital.
