Exploring Block Island's Past
The Block Island Historical Society Museum opened its doors in 1942. It's located inside a big, old house called the Woonsocket House. This house was built way back in 1871. The Society bought it in 1945 to create a place where everyone could discover the island's history.

The museum has two floors filled with amazing exhibits. You can explore many different parts of Block Island's story.
