Bo En facts for kids

Calum Thomas Bowen, known to many as Bo En (or bo en), is a talented musician and video game producer from London, England. He was born on February 26, 1991.

Music Career

Bo En released his first album, pale machine, in 2013. A year later, in 2014, he put out a special physical CD called pale machine [EXPANSION PACK]. This CD included four new songs he wrote and six remixes of songs from his first album.

In 2014, Bo En also created a remix of the song "My Party" by the group Kero Kero Bonito. This remix was featured on their Bonito Recycling EP. Over the next few years, he released three single songs: "By the Phone", "sometimes", and "love in a song". In 2021, he released a fun, different version of "love in a song" called "love in a song - DJ HEARTBREAK ANNIHILATION MIX".

In February 2023, Bo En shared exciting news: he was working on new music with another artist named Babymorocco. They have been creating several new songs together. Some of these songs are called "Love Wont Find U", "When We Were Young", and "idk_if_i_feel_enough".

Later in 2023, Bo En released a follow-up to his first album, titled Pale Machine 2. This album featured new versions of songs from his original pale machine record. It also included brand new songs with other artists. Two songs from the earlier expansion pack, "I'll Fall" and "Money Won't Pay", were also part of Pale Machine 2.

Video Game Music

Besides making his own music, Calum Bowen is also well-known for composing soundtracks for video games. He uses his real name, Calum Bowen, for these projects.

He wrote the music for games like Up Up Ubie and Super Ubie Land. He also created songs for smaller games such as Marble Time, Thief Story, and Winnose.

In 2014, he composed the full soundtrack for the game Lovely Planet. He continued to work on its sequels, Lovely Planet Arcade and Lovely Planet 2: April Skies.

Calum Bowen also composed the entire soundtrack for the popular game Pikuniku, which came out in 2019. He contributed three songs to the game Omori, released in late 2020. One of these songs, "My Time", was originally on his 2013 album Pale Machine. For Omori, it was made a bit faster and shorter. In 2022, the Omori soundtrack was expanded, and Calum Bowen composed two more songs for the console version of the game.

He also composed music for Voyage, released in 2021. More recently, in 2022, he produced the soundtrack for Poinpy, a mobile game published by Netflix Games.
