Bob Joseph (also known as Robert Joseph) is an Indigenous person from Canada. He is a member of the Gwawa’enuxw Nation, which is one of the eighteen tribes that form the larger Kwakwaka'wakw people.

Bob holds an important role as a hereditary chief. This means he inherited a leadership position in his family's clan, the Gayaxala (Thunderbird) clan. His chief name is K’axwsumala’galis. This special name means "whale who emerges itself from the water and presents itself to the world."

Bob grew up in British Columbia, Canada. He spent time in different places like Campbell River, Vancouver, and Kingcome Inlet. These experiences helped him understand both city life and life in Indigenous communities. Today, he lives in Qualicum Beach, B.C.
