Bobby Pacquiao's Boxing Career
Bobby Pacquiao started his professional boxing career in 1997. He quickly showed his skills in the ring.
Winning Titles in Boxing
From 2002 to 2004, he held the Philippines Games and Amusements Board (GAB) super featherweight title. He successfully defended this title four times. In 2005, he won the WBC Continental Americas super-featherweight title. He won this title by a technical knockout (TKO) in the seventh round. A TKO happens when the referee stops the fight because one boxer cannot continue safely.
In 2006, he was supposed to defend his title against Héctor Velázquez. However, he lost his title before the fight because he weighed too much. Even though he lost the title, the fight still happened. During the match, the referee warned Pacquiao many times for hitting below the belt, which is called a "low blow." He was eventually disqualified in the eleventh round.
Moving Up in Weight
In 2007, Bobby Pacquiao moved up to the lightweight division. He fought Humberto Soto, who later became a world champion. Pacquiao lost this fight in the seventh round after getting a cut that made it hard for him to see.
In 2008, he won the WBO Asia-Pacific lightweight title. He knocked out his opponent in eight rounds. His last boxing match was in November 2008, where he lost by a unanimous decision. A unanimous decision means all the judges agreed on who won the fight.

Playing for MP Gensan Warriors
He was part of the MP Gensan Warriors team in the SMART-Liga Pilipinas Conference II. He scored points in his debut game and later scored 10 points in a big win against Zamboanga del Norte. His brother, Manny Pacquiao, also wanted to play for the team, so Bobby was sometimes placed on the reserve list.
Involvement with PBA D-League
Later, Bobby Pacquiao became the team manager for Manny Pacquiao's team in the PBA D-League. This league helps players get ready for the main professional basketball league in the Philippines.
Other Basketball Leagues

Bobby Pacquiao's Political Journey
After his boxing career, Bobby Pacquiao decided to enter politics to serve his community.
Starting in Local Politics

The OFW Family Club represents Filipinos who work abroad. Even though the group didn't get enough votes for an automatic seat, they still got a spot, and Pacquiao became a member of Congress.
While in Congress, he was a vice chairperson for committees dealing with Mindanao affairs, overseas workers, and youth and sports development. He also served on committees for foreign affairs, games and amusements, health, and national defense. He tried to get re-elected in 2022, but his party did not get enough votes.
