Bobby Ryan (born 23 October 1961) is a famous Irish former hurler. Hurling is a fast-paced field game played with a stick and ball. Bobby played for the Tipperary senior team for thirteen seasons. His career lasted from 1980 to 1993.
Bobby was born in Borrisoleigh, County Tipperary. He grew up in a family that loved hurling. His father, Tim Ryan, and his uncles, Ned Ryan and Pat Stakelum, were also great hurlers. They won All-Ireland medals with Tipperary between 1949 and 1951. This shows how much hurling talent was in his family!
