Bogislaw VI (born around 1350 – died March 7, 1393) was a powerful ruler known as a duke in a region called Pomerania-Wolgast. A duke was like a king or a very important leader of a specific area.
In 1365, after his father, Barnim IV, passed away, Bogislaw VI began to rule Pomerania. He shared this job with his brother, Wartislaw VI. Since both brothers were still young, their uncle, Bogislaw V, looked after them and helped them rule. Their uncle died in 1374.
After some disagreements, Pomerania was divided. A special agreement was made on May 25, 1368, in a town called Anklam. This agreement split Pomerania for three years. Bogislaw V received the land east of the Swine River, and Bogislaw VI and his brother Wartislaw VI received the land west of the river.
Around this time, Bogislaw VI and his brother started attacking the lands of Albert of Sweden. This continued until Wartislaw VI and some of his knights were captured in a place called Damgarten on November 10, 1368. Bogislaw VI had to pay 1300 Marks (an old type of money) to get his brother freed.
Just before he died in 1390, Bogislaw founded a small village called Ahrenshoop. He wanted it to be a port, which is a place where ships can dock. He also built a castle there to protect it. However, in 1395, soldiers from Rostock destroyed the village, and the harbor was filled in.
Bogislaw VI died in 1393. He did not have any sons, so his lands and title were passed on to his brother, Wartislaw VI.

- Sophia (died around 1408): She first married Duke Eric I of Mecklenburg (who died in 1397). Later, she married Nicholas V of Werle.
