Booky and the Secret Santa is a Canadian family movie made for TV in 2007. It was directed by Peter Moss and is based on a book by Bernice Thurman Hunter. What the Movie is About
The movie is about a girl named Booky (Rachel Marcus). She tries to give her family the best Christmas ever. This is hard because her family is going through tough times. It's the 1930s, during the Great Depression, when many people lost their jobs and money was scarce. Booky's dad (Stuart Hughes) loses his job, making things even harder. Booky gets help from her mum (Megan Follows) and a kind department store owner (Kenneth Welsh) to make Christmas special.
