Making Sure Claims Are True

In 2010, a government group called the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) worked with Nestlé. They wanted to make sure that claims about a drink called Boost Kid Essentials were true. Nestlé had said this drink could help prevent certain sicknesses.

Nestlé agreed to only make these kinds of claims if they had strong scientific proof. This means they needed at least two good studies with people. They also agreed to not say the drink would reduce sick days for children or how long diarrhea lasted, unless they had this strong proof. Nestlé said this agreement helped make advertising rules clearer for health claims.

Changes and New Products

In 2011, the way Boost products looked changed. They got a new package design and bottle shape.

Because more people wanted Boost drinks, Nestlé added another production line in their factory in Indiana in 2013. This helped them make more drinks.

Later, in 2015, the brand introduced a new line called Boost Compact. In 2016, they brought out the Boost Simply range.

In 2018, Boost drinks became even more powerful. The amount of protein in them was increased by 33%. It went from 15 grams of protein per serving to 20 grams.
