2 Sisters Food Group

The 2 Sisters Food Group was started in 1993 by Ranjit Singh Boparan. It began by cutting frozen food for shops. The company grew quickly by buying other businesses.

Today, it has many factories: 36 in the United Kingdom, eight in the Netherlands, five in Ireland, and one in Poland. About 23,000 people work for the group, and it makes billions of pounds in sales each year. It is one of the biggest food companies in the United Kingdom.

Northern Foods

Northern Foods was another big food company. In 2010, it planned to join with an Irish company called Greencore. However, Ranjit Singh Boparan bought a large part of Northern Foods' shares.

In 2011, Boparan offered to buy Northern Foods for £341 million, and his offer was accepted. He became the chairman of the company. Soon after, Northern Foods was no longer listed on the London Stock Exchange.

Bernard Matthews

In 2016, Boparan's private company bought Bernard Matthews, a well-known turkey producer, for £87.5 million.

Grove Farm Turkey

In 2016, Boparan also bought Grove Farm, an Irish company that produces turkeys.

Harry Ramsden's

Harry Ramsden's is a famous chain of fish and chip shops. In 2010, Boparan Ventures Ltd, which is Ranjit Boparan's private investment company, bought Harry Ramsden's. The company planned to open many new restaurants and create hundreds of jobs.

However, in 2019, all 34 Harry Ramsden's restaurants were sold to another company called Deep Blue Restaurants.
