Starting His Senior Career
Borja made his first appearances as a senior player with Racing Santander's reserve team. This was during the 2009–10 season in a league called Segunda División B. This league is one of the lower professional divisions in Spanish football.
In August 2011, Borja got to play for the main Racing Santander team. He made his debut in La Liga, which is the top football league in Spain. He played for 21 minutes in a match against Valencia CF. Even though he played in La Liga, he mostly continued to play for the reserve team. He left the club in 2013.
Moving to Other Clubs
After leaving Racing Santander, Borja joined SCR Peña Deportiva in October 2013. This team played in the Tercera División, which is another level of Spanish football below Segunda División B.
In January 2014, he moved to Ontinyent CF. This club was also in the third division of Spanish football.

- Extremadura UD
- Recreativo de Huelva
Later, he also played for UE Cornellà and CD Badajoz before joining his current club, Barakaldo, in 2023.
